The education department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has enforced a prohibition on men accessing girls’ schools across the province. This action was prompted by a series of complaints filed on the Citizen’s Portal, reporting incidents of men being present in girls’ schools.
According to an official notification issued by the Director of Education in KP, the entry of men into girls’ schools is now officially restricted. Additionally, school authorities have been directed not to extend invitations to male individuals as chief guests for events or programs hosted at female educational institutions.

The education department has explicitly stated that only female chief guests will be allowed to participate in events and programs conducted at girls’ schools in KP.
Earlier this year, the KP government took an unprecedented step by approving a proposal that advocates for the exclusive appointment of female teachers at government-run primary education institutes throughout the province. This endorsement followed months of deliberation, during which the provincial cabinet considered recommendations presented by the KP Elementary and Secondary Education Department in January.
