In a significant enhancement to healthcare services, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur announced that life insurance will now be part of the province’s Sehat Card program. This addition aims to provide financial security and expanded healthcare benefits to residents across KP.

To support this initiative, the KP government is upgrading public hospitals to ensure quality healthcare is accessible to all, regardless of location. These upgrades will enable the program to deliver free healthcare services through a broader network of facilities.

“Healthcare is a top priority for our administration,” Gandapur affirmed, highlighting the program’s objective to enhance the quality of life for KP residents. By strengthening local healthcare facilities, the government aims to improve access to basic services at the community level, easing the burden on major hospitals so they can focus on specialized care.

The KP government is also optimizing the Sehat Card program to boost efficiency and curb misuse, leading to improvements in free treatment services, according to officials.

In a recent meeting with the Insaf Doctors Forum, Chief Minister Gandapur shared his vision for KP’s healthcare system, stressing the importance of continued reforms and pledging to expand service delivery in public health facilities across the province.

The inclusion of life insurance in the Sehat Card, alongside these broader healthcare reforms, demonstrates KP’s commitment to providing accessible, efficient, and high-quality healthcare for its residents.
