Kishmala Talat Secures 5th Spot In Asian Shooting Rankings

In a notable achievement, 21-year-old Pakistani sports shooter Kishmala Talat has achieved the 5th position in the annual Asian Shooting rankings released by the Asian Shooting Confederation. Her impressive skills in the women’s 10-metre air pistol shooting category earned her a total of 2,505 rating points, establishing her among the top five shooters. This remarkable accomplishment makes her the highest-ranked shooter from Pakistan across all categories in the 2023 rankings, showcasing a significant advancement from being unranked in the previous year, 2022.

Kishmala’s standout performances include winning a bronze medal for Pakistan in the 2023 Asian Games, where she demonstrated her expertise in the women’s 10m air pistol event. Her exceptional achievements extended to the World Champions and Asian Championship, solidifying her position as a prominent figure in sports shooting.

Demonstrating versatility in different disciplines, Kishmala also secured the 15th position in the women’s 25m air pistol category, highlighting her proficiency in various shooting domains.

Among other Pakistani athletes in the Asian Shooting rankings, GM Bashir achieved the 8th spot in the men’s 25m rapid-fire pistol category.
