Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan has issued her first statement following the shocking knife attack on her husband, Saif Ali Khan, during an attempted burglary at their Bandra residence in the early hours of Thursday.
The incident occurred around 2:30 AM and left Saif with multiple stab wounds. He was rushed to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent surgery and is now reported to be out of danger.
Kareena Assures Fans of Family’s Safety
Kareena, who was not at home during the attack, reassured fans that her family, including their children Jeh and Taimur, is safe. In her official statement, she expressed gratitude for the concern shown by fans and the media.
Her team’s statement read:
“There was an attempted burglary at Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s residence last night. Saif had an injury on his arm for which he is in hospital, undergoing a procedure. The rest of the family is doing fine. We request media and fans to be patient and not speculate any further as the Police are already doing their due investigations. Thank you all for your concern.”

Kareena had been dining out with close friends Rhea Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, and sister Karisma Kapoor at the time of the incident. Karisma shared a snapshot of their gathering on Instagram, captioning it, “Girls night in.”
Police Investigation Underway
The Bandra Police have registered an FIR and launched an investigation into the crime. Preliminary reports suggest Saif confronted the intruder, leading to a scuffle. While the actor sustained injuries, one house attendant was also hurt during the altercation.
Authorities are working to identify and apprehend the intruder, believed to be the sole suspect in the burglary attempt. Three household staff members are being questioned as part of the investigation.
