The water supply to Karachi, the largest city in Pakistan, has been temporarily halted due to a major power breakdown affecting the Dhabeji Pumping Station.

According to a spokesperson from the Karachi Water & Sewerage Board (KWSB), all pumps at the Dhabeji station have ceased functioning as a result of the power outage. The suspension of water supply has impacted the city, which is known for its high population density.
