Shah also highlighted that Sindh has the most autonomous local councils in Pakistan, reaffirming the government’s commitment to decentralization. However, he voiced concerns over federal funds meant for Sindh, particularly Karachi, being diverted elsewhere.
The announcement comes shortly after the federal government unveiled Pakistan’s National Electric Vehicle (NEV) Policy 2025–30. Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Industries and Production, Haroon Akhtar Khan, emphasized that the policy supports cleaner, more affordable transport while tackling emissions and reducing dependence on fossil fuels.
