K-Electric, Karachi’s sole electricity supplier, has announced that 64 feeders out of the city’s 2,001 will undergo scheduled shutdowns on December 19, 2024, for necessary transformer repairs. The power outages are expected to last between 7 to 10 hours, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, potentially disrupting daily routines across various areas.
The affected areas will experience temporary power loss, and K-Electric has advised residents to consult the official announcement for a detailed list of locations and outage timings. These maintenance efforts are part of K-Electric’s ongoing efforts to improve the reliability and quality of electricity supply.
