The dates for the second wedding of Junaid Safdar, son of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, have been announced as preparations for the high-profile event gather momentum.
Former MNA Sheikh Rohail Asghar revealed in a recent interview that Junaid’s upcoming marriage will be with his granddaughter, Shanzeh. He explained that Shanzeh and Maryam Nawaz’s younger daughter, Mahnur, are close friends who frequently visit each other’s homes, which eventually sparked Junaid’s interest in Shanzeh.
According to Asghar, the marriage proposal came about through these mutual visits. He added that the families met to discuss and formalize the relationship, with Maryam Nawaz and her family visiting his home, followed by reciprocal visits to finalize the arrangements.
The wedding is scheduled for January 16, 17, and 18, 2026, and is expected to be a grand celebration, though attendance will be limited to close family and friends.
It is worth noting that Junaid Safdar had confirmed his divorce from his previous spouse in October 2023 via an Instagram post, marking the end of his first marriage before entering this new chapter.
