Sultans found momentum in the fourth over, with emerging bowler Hunain Shah conceding boundaries. The powerplay concluded with Sultans at 48/2.

Rizwan attempted a maximum in the 10th over but was caught by Martin Guptill. At the halfway mark, Sultans were at 68/3.

Imad Wasim claimed his third wicket by dismissing Johnson Charles in the 12th over. Usman Khan reached his half-century, and Sultans reached 114/4 by the 15th over.

A strategic timeout led to Usman’s dismissal, and Usama Mir’s cameo ended with his wicket taken by Islamabad’s captain. Imad completed a five-wicket haul in the 17th over by dismissing Khushdil Shah and Chris Jordan consecutively.

Iftikhar Ahmed’s performance in the death overs propelled Multan to 159/9. Spinners Imad and Shadab proved lethal, with Imad becoming the first bowler to take a five-wicket haul in a PSL final.

In response, Islamabad United’s opening pair, Martin Guptill and Colin Munro, faced David Willey’s new ball. Munro’s aggressive start ended in the fourth over, and Agha Salman followed suit, leaving IU at 46/2.

Despite losing wickets, Guptill led the rebuild with a half-century off 30 balls before being run out in the 13th over. IU reached 116/4 by the 15th over.

Azam Khan’s wicket fell in the 16th over, and IU continued to lose wickets. Imad, Naseem, and Hunain Shah completed the chase in the final over, securing Islamabad United’s third PSL title.

Iftikhar Ahmed and Khushdil Shah were reliable with both bat and ball, while Imad’s all-round performance earned him the Player of the Match award.
