The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has issued revised winter timings for all schools in the federal capital. The new schedule will remain in force from December 1, 2025, to January 31, 2026.
For schools operating in a single shift, the classes from Monday to Thursday will now take place between 8:30 AM and 2:00 PM. On Fridays, the single-shift schools will run a shorter day, from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Pre-primary classes will also follow the same Friday timing.
Institutions working under the double-shift system will follow different hours. The morning shift will start at 8:15 AM and end at 1:15 PM, while the evening shift is scheduled from 1:15 PM to 6:00 PM from Monday through Thursday.
The FDE has directed all Area Education Officers to implement the new timing plan and ensure compliance at all public educational institutions during the winter period.
