Islamabad Police Mandates Three-Day Training for Gun License Applicants

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]The Islamabad Police has implemented a mandatory three-day weapons training course for individuals seeking gun licenses. The federal capital police have decided that licenses will only be issued upon successful completion of this training.

Inspector General (IG) Islamabad, Dr. Akbar Nasir, has confirmed that police officials will conduct the training at the federal police’s shooting range.

To apply for a gun license in Islamabad, follow these steps:

  1. Download the application form from the ICT Administration’s website and complete it accurately.
  2. Visit the Citizen Facilitation Center, ICT Administration, situated in G-11/4, Mauve Area, Islamabad.
  3. Obtain a token and await your turn.
  4. Submit all required documents and receive a receipt.
  5. Collect your license on the specified date mentioned on the receipt.

The necessary documents for a gun license application include:

  • Three passport-size photographs
  • Three attested copies of CNIC
  • Three attested copies of the NTN certificate
  • Proof of residence in Islamabad
  • Departmental NOC for government servants

It’s important to note that in August of this year, Caretaker Interior Minister Sarfaraz Ahmed Bugti had imposed a ban on the issuance of new arms licenses.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
