Islamabad is set to plant 4 million trees soon.

Around four million trees are set to be planted in the Federal Capital within the next two months. This initiative focuses on protecting and enhancing the wildlife and vegetation in the Margalla Hills, particularly in response to the damage caused by recent wildfires due to a heat wave.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has instructed CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa to implement digital monitoring of the saplings planted during the campaign. He emphasized the importance of planting fruit-bearing and flowering plants rather than ornamental trees to make Islamabad greener and more vibrant.
