Islamabad Bans Use of Tinted Glass, Fancy Number Plates for Vehicles

Authorities have enforced a ban on the use of tinted glass and fancy number plates on vehicles in the federal capital.

In addition, the sale and purchase of flasher lights have also been prohibited, with strict penalties announced for violators.

Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) issued 577,836 traffic violation tickets in the federal capital by September 2024, collecting fines amounting to Rs48 million and registering 951 FIRs for severe offenses.

Similarly, Rawalpindi Traffic Police reported issuing 3,803 challans between August 25 and September 12, 2024, with fines totaling Rs4.1 million during a public service vehicle campaign.
