Renowned Pakistani television anchor and host Iqrar Ul Hassan has officially announced the creation of a new political party, with its official name scheduled to be unveiled on January 15. Addressing a gathering of young supporters, Iqrar Ul Hassan shared his perspective on Punjab’s political and developmental landscape. He acknowledged the development initiatives carried out by former Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif, highlighting the positive impact of his tenure on the province. He also recognized caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi’s role in overseeing the construction of numerous underpasses, reflecting ongoing urban development efforts in Punjab.
Iqrar Ul Hassan noted that, overall, the province has benefited from leaders who prioritized development, including Maryam Nawaz. However, he was critical of former Chief Minister Usman Buzdar’s tenure, referring to it as an exception to the otherwise development-focused leadership in Punjab.

He argued that political parties should not be treated as personal entities that simply transfer from one individual to another.
