Federal Interior Minister Orders Crackdown on Illegal Constructions in Islamabad
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has directed authorities to launch a strict crackdown against illegal constructions and unregistered housing societies in Islamabad. The order was issued during a high-level meeting attended by key officials including Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, Interior Secretary, Islamabad Chief Commissioner, IG Police, and Deputy Commissioner.

Minister Naqvi emphasized the use of satellite mapping technology to identify and immediately halt unauthorized construction activities. He called for a zero-tolerance policy to ensure full enforcement.
Highlighting the importance of public safety, the minister stated, “Ensuring the safety of citizens’ lives and property should not be compromised.” He also stressed the need to improve the reputation of the police and administrative authorities in the federal capital.
Furthermore, Naqvi urged departments to launch new initiatives focused on enhancing public convenience and instructed officials to maintain effective control over essential commodity prices within the city.
