The summit will aim to enhance economic, financial, and cultural cooperation among the member states. It will be preceded by ministerial meetings and senior official discussions covering a wide range of topics.

The SCO is an important trans-regional organization that includes India, Pakistan, China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. Over the years, it has played a pivotal role in promoting economic collaboration and addressing security challenges in the region.

While India hosted last year’s SCO Summit virtually, with former Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif participating via video link, both countries continue to engage within the forum. Earlier this year, then Pakistan Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari attended an in-person SCO meeting in Goa, marking the first high-level Pakistani visit to India in over a decade.

This summit will provide another important platform for both nations to engage in regional discussions under the SCO framework.
