SIU Arrests Suspected RAW Agent in Karachi
The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) in Karachi has apprehended a man, identified as Muhammad Saleem, suspected of being an agent for the Indian intelligence agency, RAW. The arrest occurred during an intelligence-based operation in the Maripur area, specifically at Macchli Chowrangi on Manora Road.
During the operation, authorities recovered a significant cache of weapons, including hand grenades, a launcher, and 9mm pistols, along with explosive materials and various documents. SIU officials reported that the suspect was in possession of multiple fake service cards from different departments, several passports, and identification cards under different names. Evidence also indicated that he had traveled to India multiple times via Nepal.

According to the SIU, Saleem had been actively operating in Karachi on behalf of RAW, allegedly gathering sensitive information and engaging in subversive activities. The investigation revealed that he had established forged connections across various sectors, as indicated by the discovery of the fake service cards.
A case has been registered against Saleem under terrorism charges, and further investigations are ongoing to ascertain the full extent of his involvement and any possible connections to other espionage networks. Authorities are also probing how he managed to acquire such a substantial arsenal of weaponry and explosives.
