In a sharp escalation of tensions, India has reportedly deployed advanced electronic warfare systems designed to disrupt satellite-based navigation used by Pakistani military aircraft, sources confirmed.
The systems are configured to interfere with multiple global navigation networks, including GPS, GLONASS, and BeiDou, potentially degrading Pakistan’s aerial targeting accuracy and situational awareness. Indian defence officials claim the move is intended to weaken Pakistan’s strike capabilities in the event of a conflict.

Simultaneously, India issued a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) restricting its airspace to all Pakistani-operated aircraft from May 1 to May 23, further straining already tense diplomatic ties following the deadly Pahalgam attack.
While Islamabad has yet to formally respond, experts warn that the use of electronic warfare in such a volatile environment raises the risk of miscalculations, urging caution from both nuclear-armed neighbours.
