Aleema Khan, sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, stated that his children will soon visit Pakistan to meet their father. Speaking to reporters outside Adiala Jail, she expressed concern over being denied access to Imran Khan, noting that while six visitors were previously allowed, even his sisters are now barred from meeting him.
She confirmed that Bushra Bibi and lawyer Zaheer Abbas Chaudhry met Imran Khan today and claimed that court orders are being openly disregarded. According to her, Imran Khan criticized the current political situation, saying that after losing the party’s election symbol and reserved seats, he now simply wishes to appear in court. He described the coalition government as a “gang of corrupt fools,” likening it to Nigeria’s ruling elite, and accused Pakistan’s upper class of looting the nation’s wealth.
Imran Khan also called for a nationwide movement to restore the rule of law, urging PTI members to unite for the cause, as all legal and political avenues have been closed. Aleema added that the party will soon decide on a strategy, and Imran’s children, holding NICOPs, plan to travel to Pakistan for a visit.
She further alleged that Imran is in complete solitary confinement and accused prison officials of harassment, naming both the superintendent and an army colonel. She also mentioned that Imran Khan is cut off from current political developments, including the Senate elections.
Lawyer Salman Akram Raja also addressed the media, expressing concern over the severity of sentences related to the May 9 cases and pledged to take the matter to the Supreme Court. He downplayed internal party disputes, calling them a normal part of political party
