Imam of Masjid-e-Nabawi: Pakistan Holds a Significant Place in the Muslim World

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir met with Imam Dr Salah bin Mohammad Al-Budair of Masjid-e-Nabawi on Friday in Rawalpindi. The meeting, reported by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), highlighted the significant role Pakistan plays in the Muslim world and its contributions to regional peace and stability.

During their discussions, both COAS Munir and Imam Al-Budair expressed satisfaction with the state of Pak-Saudi relations. General Munir welcomed the Imam and emphasized the honor of his visit to Pakistan.

Imam Al-Budair, who also recited Quranic verses at the beginning of the National Assembly session in Islamabad earlier that day, prayed for the peace, stability, and unity of the Muslim Ummah. National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq praised the Imam’s visit, noting the special significance of Masjid-e-Nabawi for Muslims worldwide.
