Unfortunately, in the land of the pure, these individuals are frequently caught misusing the religion for their own gain, causing people to turn away from the religion rather than towards it.
In one shocking case, an Imam Masjid allegedly drugged and raped a Hafiz-e-Quran boy all night.
According to a copy of the FIR, the incident occurred on the night of March 9 and 10, in the jurisdiction of the Shaheen Chowk Police Station in Gujrat.

The victim allegedly claimed that Molvi Mohammad Riaz, the Imam Masjid at the Jamia Masjid Buraq, called him and asked him to come to the mosque for advice on Taraweeh prayers during Ramadan.
When the victim arrived, Riaz informed him after Maghrib prayer that the Masjid Committee was unavailable for consultation on the matter today. Riaz then invited the victim to spend the night with him.
Riaz’s intentions were unknown to the victim, so he agreed. After dinner, the victim led Isha prayer and went to bed. The victim claimed that he awoke around 8 a.m. and discovered Riaz was allegedly raping him.
When the victim tried to stop Riaz, he was beaten and threatened with death. The victim claimed that Riaz put sleeping pills in his food, which caused him to fall asleep, during which time Riaz raped him repeatedly.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
