The Islamabad High Court issued orders to the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to unseal the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) office in Islamabad. Justice Saman Riffat delivered the verdict, instructing the CDA to immediately lift the seal from the office.
The PTI office, situated in Islamabad’s G-8 sector, was sealed by the Capital Development Authority a few days ago due to alleged violations of building regulations. The CDA claimed that PTI had encroached on neighboring plots and constructed an additional storey, violating building laws.

In a late-night operation, a team from the development authority, accompanied by heavy machinery and a large police presence, carried out the sealing of the office.
When questioned about the action, the CDA stated that it was part of a broader campaign against encroachments in the capital and was conducted without any bias. The sealing of the office was also brought up in the Supreme Court during a hearing regarding the allocation of reserved seats to the Sunni Ittehad Council on Monday.
Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa noted that appropriate orders could be issued if necessary, particularly upon learning that many important documents were kept inside the sealed office.
