According to PTA, VPNs can now be registered via ipregistration.pta.gov.pk, where companies or freelancers can apply for VPN registration or IP whitelisting. While VPN registration is free, there is a fee for IP whitelisting if there are five or more IP addresses, including previously whitelisted ones.
Meeting attendees emphasized VPNs’ role in secure connections but raised concerns about their potential misuse in illegal activities.
