On Friday, the Lebanese resistance group Hezbollah cautioned Israelis to steer clear of Israeli army positions located in residential areas in northern Israel.

In a statement issued in both Arabic and Hebrew, Hezbollah claimed that the Israeli army utilizes the homes of Israelis in northern regions and has established military bases within residential neighborhoods of major occupied cities like Haifa, Tiberias, and Acre. They urged Israelis to avoid proximity to these military sites to safeguard their lives.

Following nearly a year of cross-border skirmishes, Israel has intensified its attacks on Hezbollah locations since September 23, resulting in over 1,200 casualties and displacing around one million individuals. Hezbollah has also announced its rocket fire targeting areas in northern Israel. In a related development, Nicaragua announced on Friday its decision to sever diplomatic ties with Israel, labeling the Israeli government as “fascist” and “genocidal,” citing its actions against Palestinian territories.

This decision coincides with a congressional resolution calling for action in light of the one-year anniversary of the Gaza war, which the Nicaraguan government indicated has expanded to include Lebanon and poses a serious threat to Syria, Yemen, and Iran. The situation in the Middle East remains tense, especially following Iran’s missile attacks on Israel on October 1.
