After heavy rain in Karachi, major traffic jams hit Shahrah-e-Faisal and Defence Korangi Road.
Long lines of vehicles blocked Shahrah-e-Faisal, while cars were stuck for kilometers on Defence Korangi Road. Traffic also piled up near Qayyumabad Chowrangi and Jam Sadiq Bridge.
Thousands of people were left stranded, and ambulances had trouble moving through, making it hard for patients.
Rain continued in different parts of Karachi throughout the day.
The Meteorological Department said a low-pressure system over Gujarat, India, is gaining strength with moisture from the Arabian Sea. It may turn into a depression and move into the northern Arabian Sea by tomorrow.
