Likewise, the percentage of stolen units in relation to the units supplied in September of fiscal year 2024 was 1.46%, a significant drop from the 2.93% reported in the same month of the previous fiscal year.

In terms of collecting the value of total billed units, it reached 86.99% in September of the current fiscal year, marking an improvement from 82.43% in the same month of the previous fiscal year.
The government’s recent anti-electricity theft campaign, as reported by Power Division Secretary Rashid Langrial, led to savings of Rs. 26 billion in September. This includes indirect savings resulting from changes in consumer behavior, which reduced theft by Rs. 5 billion and improved collection by Rs. 7 billion.
