The federal government has announced an extension of the transport monetization policy to officers of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) and judicial officers of the Islamabad Judicial Services. According to the Finance Division’s notification, the new rates are:
- Officers of BS-18 and BS-19: Rs. 45,000 per month
- Judicial Officers of BPS-18 and BPS-19: Rs. 55,000 per month

This decision is based on the review of rules and references cited in previous notifications, including a Supreme Court judgment and Controller General of Accounts’ letter No. 16 /CGA /Reg-II/Misc. Correspondence/2016-17/ P.F.I/ 795 dated 06-08-2024.
The Finance Division has approved the extension of this policy, subject to the fulfillment of all necessary formalities. This move builds on the controversial monetization policy introduced in 2012 for federal government officers in Grades 20, 21, and 22.
