In a recent initiative to revive the economy and tackle the ongoing power crisis, the government has launched an intensive campaign against electricity theft. This effort has resulted in the recovery of a total of Rs95 billion nationwide and the arrest of over 78,000 individuals involved in electricity theft.
During a concentrated operation from June 2-9, significant recoveries were made from key cities, including Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Multan, and Islamabad, amounting to Rs35 million. Additionally, Rs15 million were collected from Peshawar, Hyderabad, Sukkur, and Quetta.

The crackdown has remained vigorous, with an additional 250 arrests made since June 9. Authorities have emphasized their commitment to continuing these efforts until all instances of electricity theft are eradicated across the country.
