On Friday, the government announced a reduction in fuel prices for the next two weeks, starting March 1 (Saturday). According to the details, petrol prices have dropped by Rs0.50 per litre, setting the new rate at Rs255.63 per litre.

High-speed diesel has seen a decrease of Rs5.31 per litre, bringing its price down to Rs258.64 per litre. Kerosene oil prices have also been cut by Rs3.53, with the new rate at Rs168.12 per litre. Additionally, light diesel oil has fallen by Rs2.47 per litre to a new price of Rs153.34.
These changes were confirmed by the Ministry of Finance in an official notification.
