Gold prices in Pakistan saw a significant rise on Thursday following two consecutive days of decline. The price per tola increased by Rs2,000, closing at Rs262,100, reflecting trends in the international market. The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reported that the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also surged by Rs1,714, reaching Rs224,708.

Meanwhile, the global gold market experienced an increase, with the price climbing by $22 to $2,503 per ounce, according to the APGJSA. In contrast, silver prices in the local market dropped by Rs50, bringing the rate down to Rs2,900 per tola. The fluctuating local gold prices continue to be affected by global market trends, domestic factors like currency exchange rates, and demand within the country.
