Gold prices have climbed sharply both internationally and locally, reaching unprecedented levels. On the global bullion market, gold saw a $29 increase per ounce, setting a new record of $2,772 per ounce.
Domestically, gold prices also hit historic highs. On Friday, for the first time since October 30, 2024, the price of 24-carat gold per tola jumped by 2,900 rupees, reaching 289,600 rupees, while 10 grams rose by 2,486 rupees to 248,285 rupees.

Silver prices mirrored this trend, with per tola rates increasing by 31 rupees to 3,432 rupees, and 10 grams rising by 27 rupees to 2,942 rupees.
