Gold Prices Rise by Rs2,300 Across Pakistan

Gold prices in Pakistan saw a sharp increase on Wednesday after declining in the previous two sessions.

According to data from the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association, the per tola gold price rose by Rs2,300, settling at Rs288,700. Similarly, the price of 10-gram gold climbed by Rs1,972 to reach Rs247,513.

In the international market, gold also experienced an upward trend, with per ounce prices increasing by $22 to hit $2,763.

A day earlier, the per tola gold price had dropped by Rs300, closing at Rs289,100, while the 10-gram gold price fell by Rs257, settling at Rs227,209. Meanwhile, silver prices remained stable at Rs3,395 per tola and Rs2,910 for 10 grams.

Separately, the federal government is expected to raise petrol prices in its upcoming review for the first half of February 2025. Reports suggest petrol prices may increase by Rs3 per litre, and high-speed diesel could see a Rs6 per litre hike, with new rates to be announced on January 31.
