Gold Prices in Pakistan Reach Record Highs

Following a slight decline the previous day, gold prices in Pakistan surged on Wednesday, mirroring significant increases in global markets.

In the local market, the price of 24-karat gold rose by Rs2,200 per tola, bringing it to Rs277,200, as reported by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). Similarly, the price for 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs1,886, now reaching Rs237,654.

Globally, gold prices also saw a notable rise, with rates climbing by $22 during the day. The international gold price is currently at $2,675 per ounce, according to the APGJSA.

Despite the increase in gold prices, the silver market remained stable, with silver priced at Rs3,050 per tola. Last month, gold prices in Pakistan had reached a record high of Rs277,000 per tola, driven by significant fluctuations in the international market.
