A Chinese company is facing backlash after issuing a controversial ultimatum: employees must get married by September or risk losing their jobs.
According to a foreign news report, the Shandong-based company came under government scrutiny after warning unmarried and divorced employees that failure to wed by the deadline would result in termination.

Shandong Chemical Group Company Limited issued a notice to its 1,200 employees, stressing the importance of hard work and family-building. The policy targeted workers aged 28 to 58, requiring them to marry by September. Those still single by June would undergo a review, and if unmarried by the final deadline, they could face dismissal.
