German Diplomat Thomas Felder Found Dead in Islamabad’s Diplomatic Enclave
Islamabad, Pakistan – Thomas Felder, the German Second Secretary, was found dead at his residence in Karakoram Heights, located within Islamabad’s Diplomatic Enclave, according to local police reports.
Preliminary Investigations
Initial investigations suggest that Felder, who had a known history of heart-related issues, likely passed away from natural causes. Police officials reported that he had recently received treatment at Kulsoom Hospital and was absent from his duties at the German Embassy on the day of his death.

Discovery of the Body
When Felder could not be reached by phone, the embassy sent a driver to check on him. Upon finding the apartment locked from the inside, the driver alerted embassy officials. The embassy staff then contacted local police for assistance. Duty Officer Irshad and SHO Ashfaq arrived at the scene, but by that time, the embassy staff had already forced open the door and found Felder unresponsive.
Investigation Procedures
The embassy did not permit the police to take photographs or continue with any further actions at the scene. A doctor was summoned by the embassy to examine the body. Police have since transported the deceased to undergo an autopsy to confirm the exact cause of death.
Senior officials, including SSP Diplomatic Enclave Zeeshan Haider, were present to monitor the situation. The investigation is ongoing, and further updates are expected.
