Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik has announced special steps to ensure smooth Gas supply during the holy month of Ramazan. The government aims to provide uninterrupted Gas to households, especially during Sehri and Iftar hours.
According to the minister, Gas will be available daily from 3:00 am to 10:30 pm throughout Ramazan. He said that detailed planning has already been completed. These measures are designed to prevent shortages during peak usage times. Demand usually rises sharply during early morning and evening hours in Ramazan.
The minister stated that this year’s Gas management is better than last winter. He credited timely planning and improved coordination for the improved supply situation. Additional arrangements have also been finalized to support consumers during the holy month. These steps are expected to reduce pressure on the distribution system.
To ensure proper monitoring, situation rooms have been established at the head offices of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited and Sui Southern Gas Company Limited. These control centers will track supply levels and respond quickly to any disruptions. Regional offices have also been directed to closely monitor their networks. Special focus will remain on Sehri and Iftar timings.
The government has also activated a complaint registration system. Citizens can report Gas-related issues through the 1199 helpline. Managing Directors of both companies will personally supervise complaint handling. A robo-call system will confirm whether issues have been resolved.
Consumers will also have the option to report dissatisfaction. They can press the “unsatisfied” button during the robo-call. This step aims to ensure transparency and quick response.
