At least seven people were injured on Sunday in a gas leakage explosion at Darman Hospital in Balochistan’s Pishin district, severely damaging the hospital building. The explosion, caused by accumulated gas igniting, was powerful enough to shatter windows and collapse parts of the hospital’s walls, according to police officials.
Rescue teams and security personnel quickly responded, transferring the injured to nearby medical facilities for urgent treatment. The blast caused panic among hospital staff and patients, many of whom rushed outside to escape the chaos. “There was a loud bang, and then we saw debris everywhere,” an eyewitness recounted.
