The resolution, reached during a meeting in Peshawar, offers some relief amid sweltering heat.
Responding to prolonged outages, CM Gandapur threatened to seize Pesco’s headquarters if the federal government didn’t reduce cuts. In the meeting, the Pesco head pledged reduced outage durations. Now, areas facing 22-hour cuts will see 18-hour outages, and those with 18-hour cuts will experience 14-hour interruptions.

CM Gandapur ensured enforcement, stating Pesco officials would meet the chief secretary. He warned of action against executive engineers for exceeding schedules.
