In a recent announcement, Nepra raised power tariffs by Rs2.83 per unit for May 2024 bills.

This decision will add Rs26 billion to consumers’ burdens, but it will not affect K-Electric customers or lifeline consumers.

The Karachi Electric’s application to Nepra aims to reflect changes in fuel costs, a common practice in regulating electricity tariffs.
