FIA Arrests Four Suspects, Including Former Punjab Police Officer, for Human Smuggling and Fraud
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested four individuals on Sunday, including a former Punjab police officer, for their alleged involvement in human smuggling and fraudulent activities.
Details of the Operation
The arrests were carried out by the FIA’s anti-human trafficking cell during an operation in Jalalpur Jattan. Among the detainees was Hassan Butt, an ex-officer of the Punjab police, who is accused of facilitating the illegal transportation of citizens to Turkiye and Europe.

The FIA spokesperson disclosed additional details, stating that the operation targeted multiple suspects. One of the arrested, Madah, was accused of charging Rs3 million to send an individual to Malaysia through illegal channels.
Fraudulent Visa Scheme
In a separate operation, the FIA arrested two suspects, identified as Sikandar and Mahboob, for posing as representatives of a Saudi company to commit visa fraud. They allegedly defrauded individuals of Rs66 million under the pretense of issuing company visas.
The arrests highlight the FIA’s ongoing efforts to crack down on human smuggling networks and protect citizens from fraudulent schemes. Investigations into the suspects are underway.
