Four Gang Member Arrested for Posing as Bride to Rob Families

The police have successfully apprehended a four-member gang involved in robbing families while pretending to be a bride after a fake marriage. The Organized Crime Unit of Defence, as part of an ongoing crackdown against criminal elements in Punjab, arrested the gang members, including the fake bride and the marriage officiant.

The arrested individuals, Sajid Bashir, Muhammad Naeem, Muqaddas Bibi, and Allah Rakhi—one of whom is believed to be the ringleader—have confessed to multiple robberies. The gang would arrange fake weddings, hold the victim’s family hostage, and flee with their valuables.

During the operation, police recovered cash, gold jewelry, and bridal dresses from the suspects. The DSP of the Organized Crime Unit praised the success of the operation, crediting the arrests to professional skills and effective public relations efforts.
