Four firefighters killed while fighting a fire in New Karachi.

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text dp_text_size=”size-4″]KARACHI: At least four firefighters were killed and 13 others were injured on Thursday when a factory building collapsed during the cooling process after a fire in the New Karachi industrial area.

According to fire department officials, Karachi Municipal Corporation (KMC) firefighters were engaged in the cooling process when the tragic incident occurred, and the injured were taken out of the debris and taken to the hospital for immediate medical assistance.

Sohail, Khalid Shahzad, Mohsin, and Adnan were identified as the deceased firefighters.

It is worth noting that a fire broke out a day earlier in three factories in the industrial area, destroying goods worth millions of dollars.

The fires in two factories were put out, and the fire in the third factory was put out after 16 hours.

Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori also visited the scene and paid tribute to the firefighters who were killed and injured in the building collapse.

He also contacted Administrator Karachi Saifur Rehman and directed that the injured be given medical attention as soon as possible.

“I think that a bigger incident than this could not have occurred on this holy night… I think they will be called martyrs and they will receive a high rank as they were on duty and busy with a task to save others’ lives,” Tessori added.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
