Four FC Troops Martyred In Karak During Deadly Terrorist Attack

Four Frontier Corps (FC) personnel were martyred in a terrorist attack in Karak district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on Wednesday. The attack took place in the Gurguri area, within the limits of the local police station.

According to officials, the FC soldiers were returning from a routine field security duty. As their vehicle moved through the Amankot Toway area, unknown gunmen ambushed them. The attackers were already positioned on a nearby mountain.

They opened heavy and sudden fire on the moving vehicle. As a result, all four FC personnel were martyred on the spot. Initial reports say the soldiers belonged to Lakki Marwat and Tank districts. Their bodies have been shifted to a nearby medical facility. Families of the martyrs have been informed.

Soon after the terrorist attack, security forces and police responded quickly. The area was cordoned off, and a large search operation was launched. The operation is focused on the Gurguri hills and surrounding regions.

District Police Officer (DPO) Karak Shahbaz Elahi confirmed the search efforts. He said all entry and exit routes of the region have been sealed. The move aims to block any escape by the attackers.

The DPO added that law enforcement is using all available resources to trace the terrorists. So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the ambush. Investigations are ongoing.

This terrorist attack has raised fresh concerns over security in the region. Officials have vowed to find those responsible and bring them to justice.

Authorities have urged the public to stay alert and report any suspicious activity. Security has been tightened across Karak and nearby districts.
