The Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) on Thursday sealed a dental clinic owned by former Pakistani president Dr. Arif Alvi for violating zoning regulations.
According to sources, the clinic, located in the Sindhi Muslim Cooperative Housing Society (SMCHS), was operating out of a residential bungalow, which goes against SBCA rules. The operation, supervised by Assistant Director Shakeel Jamali, was carried out by SBCA officials with the support of local police.

Authorities stated that the clinic was functioning in a residential area without the required permits for commercial use. Complaints regarding its location prompted the SBCA to take action as part of their broader initiative to curb illegal commercial activities in residential zones.
Dr. Arif Alvi, who was president from 2018 to 2023, has not yet commented on the incident. The clinic, a long-standing establishment, has attracted significant attention due to Dr. Alvi’s political standing.
