FitsAir Enters Pakistan Market with New Flight Route

Sri Lankan airline FitsAir has announced plans to start direct Flights to Pakistan from April 1. This move will improve air links between the two countries.

The airline will operate two Flights every week between Colombo and Lahore. These Flights are scheduled for Wednesdays and Saturdays. The route will be served using Airbus A320 planes.

Officials confirmed that all approvals are complete. The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority has allowed the airline to begin operations. Lahore airport has also assigned landing slots for the new service.

These Flights will give passengers a more affordable way to travel to Sri Lanka. Travelers can also connect easily to other regional destinations from Colombo. This is expected to benefit both tourists and business travelers.

The new route will also support tourism in Pakistan. Sri Lankan visitors will find it easier to visit northern areas of the country. Better connectivity often leads to more travel and cultural exchange.

FitsAir has a long history in aviation. It started in 1997 under the name ExpoAir. At that time, the company focused on cargo services. It handled both domestic and international shipments.

Over the years, the airline built a strong reputation. It continued operations during difficult times in Sri Lanka. This helped it gain trust in the logistics sector.

In 2022, the company rebranded as FitsAir. It also entered the passenger travel market. This made it the first private airline in Sri Lanka to operate international passenger Flights.

Since then, the airline has expanded its network. It now serves several destinations in South Asia and the Middle East. The addition of Pakistan is part of its growth plan.
