First look of Ahad Raza Mir in BBC’s wartime drama ‘World on Fire 2’ is out

In the second season of World on Fire, Mir plays a new character named Rajib. The show features an extensive cast and is planned to return to television for a second season following the release of season 1 in 2019.

In the series, the Yakeen Ka Safar star will play a daring and resolute head of a specialty unit of the British Indian Army during World War II. His forthcoming persona is first seen in a uniform, staring intently towards the camera. According to several publications, the show will be released on October 15. The broadcaster has not issued any confirmation.

The actor will appear in a supporting role in Season 2 of World on Fire, alongside original cast members Lesley Manville as Robina, Jonah Hauer-King as Harry, Julia Brown as Lois, and Zofia Wichlacz as Kasia.

Shetland’s Mark Bonnar, who will play the intriguing Sir James Danemere, is among the newcomers to the group. Gregg Sulkin, who starred in Runaways, will play a daring but reckless RAF pilot. Miriam Schiweck (Der Staatsanwalt) also joins the Band of German Maidens as a German adolescent.

The synopsis hints that RAF pilots would be tasked to destroy German bombers “prowling the skies above Manchester, with rescue operations underway on the streets below – the true reality of war has arrived in Britain” in the six-episode second season.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
