During the investigation, the FIA will also look into the possible involvement of other senior Customs officials in the smuggling activity. Acting on a tip-off, the FIA conducted a raid in the Gujranwala tiles ceramics market, where they seized a truck carrying 232 packets of non-custom paid Iranian tiles.
The driver claimed to have bribed officials at Customs check posts along the way from Quetta. This smuggling activity is causing significant financial losses to the national exchequer on a daily basis.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
