FIA Arrests Three Over Sparking Fake Rape Allegation Protests

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has detained three individuals for circulating false information about a rape incident involving a female student from a private college in Lahore. This fabricated story triggered widespread protests across Punjab. The FIA is currently searching for 38 additional journalists and TikTokers accused of spreading the misinformation online. Among those arrested are Raja Ahsan Naveed and Faisal Jutt.

Key details: The principal of Punjab College for Women filed a complaint with the FIA, highlighting the chaos and violence the false report caused, leading to attacks on the college. Many suspects have gone into hiding, complicating the FIA’s efforts to arrest them. The agency is also seeking help from social media platforms to track down those involved.
