FBR Unveils New Password Policy to Enhance Security

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has implemented a new password policy aimed at enhancing the security of taxpayers’ credentials. According to the updated policy, users are required to change their passwords every 60 days to maintain maximum security. Additionally, all passwords will expire after 60 days, prompting users to reset them via the “forget password” feature.

To change the password, taxpayers must have access to their registered mobile number and email. If either of these is inaccessible or lost, the password recovery process becomes more complicated, adding a layer of difficulty to ensure secure access to the system.
