The case against Fawad Chaudhry was filed by a citizen named Zaheer at the Aabpara police station. Zaheer accused him of accepting a bribe of Rs5 million in exchange for securing him a job and claimed that Fawad threatened him when he asked for the money back after the promise was not fulfilled.

According to Zaheer, he met Fawad three years ago at Islamabad’s Kohsar Market and entrusted him with Rs5 million for safekeeping in October 2021. Fawad Chaudhry then offered to assist in securing jobs for Zaheer’s children. Later, Fawad allegedly demanded Rs10 million to secure the jobs. When the PTI government was removed from power, Zaheer requested the return of his money, but Fawad Chaudhry avoided him.

Zaheer claimed that during a meeting six months ago, Fawad and his security personnel threatened him. The complaint alleges that Fawad Chaudhry misappropriated funds and calls for legal action against him.

Fawad Chaudhry was transported to the court in an armored vehicle, with his wife and two brothers present. His wife, Hiba, stated that they were not informed about the case for which he was arrested until they reached the court and learned about the filed FIR.
